On this day (23rd February) in 1685, the composer George Frederic Handel was born. He was known for writing oratorios, operas ,and music for Royal occasions. His best known pieces include the Messiah and the Coronation anthem Zadok the Priest - the ITV Champions League theme is actually based on Zadok the Priest!
